I hope no Yanks buy out Juve ! Looked liked they had the easy group when it was drawn.

Massive clear out and huge investment needed in Man Utd now. Their players are not good enough.

I generally support all British clubs in Europe, so long as they are not playing Liverpool, but I can never bring myself around to supporting the Mancs. But I'm not so sure it's the Glaziers to blame for their European exit? I just think that they are a club who have enjoyed their time at the top and are now on the slide, it happens like that, and as far as the Mancs are concerned, it hasn't come a day too soon. They are a victim of their own corporate bubble that's finally burst. Add to that, a manager who should have quit three years ago when he said he was going to, and a bunch of bad signings, failed youngsters and established players now past their peak, and you have a recipe for failure at any level. The financial implications of this latest failure will send shock waves through the Old Trafford finances. And I think it's GREAT!

Yeah i think they need to spend big money, probably on two centre midfielders and a centre back

yeah they need two centre midfield a centre back and soon a left winger and then a goalie. Yeah i can safely say that the squad is deteriating fast and falling behind in quality.

First things first. They need a captain. Not gary neville (little runt) and not horseface either. They need a new Roy Keane. Sell ferdinand, brown, silvestre and replace with talented defenders. Heinze is the only decent defender they have. Need two or three decent CM, fletcher is rubbish, maybe a decent sub. Only players worth keeping are vd Sar, Scholes (last legs), Ronaldo and horseface even though it seems he has forgotten where the goals are. I'm afraid it's rebuild, rebuild, rebuild. Tough times ahead. Man U have always been the team that I loved to hate as they were always the team we (Arsenal) had to beat. I think it's a sad day when it seems that Man U are on the way down. chelski will never inspire the same amount of passion for me as they are a lottery team and not really worthy of the plaudits and success they have bought. Man U earned their success with hard work, skill and talent not by being bank rolled by a russian gangster. Pity.

Giggs is on his way out. One of the best players of the Prem. Ronaldo is a fancy dan and doesnt produce much, his performance against Benfica showed this - plus he is a child and spits his dummy out all the time. Scholes is the same as Giggs, on his way out but one of the best Prem players. Smith is the new Roy Keane, dont make me laugh. Ferdinand needs a huge kick up the backside and someone to come in and put his place under pressure. He has it too easy now. Rooney and Van Nis are top class players, so are Heinze, Van Der Saar and G.Neville does a good job.

So United need.
Left Winger
Right Winger
2 Central Midfield players
1 Centre Back
and possible a back up striker !

£60 or £70 Million worth there !!!

I agree with you there Pupdog! They will also need a new manager as any major re-build must come complete with a re-think and a change of direction. I think they will end up with Martin O'neil, as the timing will be perfect for him to come back into football.

The timing is not right for Martin O'Neill to come back to football. He quit football to look after his sick wife, that was only 4 or 5 months ago.

Yip, got to agree with most of that. i forgot about Rooney (believe it or not). Still don't agree with you on the Ronaldo bit but other than that, spot on.

The funny thing is that they have said they are not intrested in ballack? He would be a great signing for them especially if he was free!

Gazz....

Seriously people all I have heard is Utd must sell , Utd need a clean out , Utd need 2 Centre backs a winger and a Captain , HELLLLLLLLOOOOOO is there anybody out there.

MAN UTD DO NOT HAVE ANY MONEY TO BUY ANY F*UCKER , DO YOU PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THIS,

SAY IT SLOWLY ,, MAAN UUTD ARE £500 MILLION IN DEBT, THEY DONT HAVE HUGE FUNDS FOR HUGE INVESTMENT , THEY DONT HAVE BLANK CHEQUE BOOKS FOR CLEAN OUTS, ........

The sooner some people realise that utd dont have the money to replace Fletcher, O'**** , silvestre, etc etc with a player of better quality the better.

Why would Ballack want to go to Old Trafford? Surely he's prospects would be better at somewhere like Wigan!

Maybe your right! So he should either go to Wigan or Man Utd, but no other team is good enough!

:sorry: Mate do you just come on here to try and get on people's backs? Don't talk utter nonsense! Wigan will do well to make the top half of the table - and am sure Ballack has ambition to do well... perhaps this is the same reason why he wouldn't become a red devil 'cos they're running into hard times, what with being knocked out of Europe and seeming all but out of the running for the title.

If he came to England he'd probably sign for...
1. Chelsea - probably the best side this country's seen since the 1980s.
2. Or Arsenal.
3. An outside bet but Spurs (London club - nightlife)
4. The European Champions - Liverpool - the way we're going IF we don't win the title again mind, we'll finish 4th or even 3rd on this form & a stone wall place in the CL.

In terms of wage demands and affordability, you would have to say Chelski would be favourites, except for the fact that they don't really need him, and not all players are prepared to sign for a club where they would begin so far down the pecking order. Arsenal would love to have him, but rarely break the bank to go after such players unless they are French like Wenger. Liverpool already have a full quota of midfielders: Alonso, Gerrard, Sissoko, Hamman, Garcia and so on. Which leaves the Mancs, but that would depend on how much the Glaziers want to spend on their new play thing in January, and without a sponser or Eoropean football, it is more likely they will wait to see how the season pans out first. After all, if it seems that Fergie is going to bite the dust in the summer, they will want to give any new funds to a new manager to bring in the players of his choice. As for clubs like Spurs and Newcastle, I have nothing against them, but I just can't see it somehow?
