Although i,m a Celtic fan my second team is Everton. Ithink it.s time to cash in on Rooney if teams are prepared to spend 30-40 mill for him it would give Moyes the chance to build a cracking team plus hang onto the likes of Gravesen. Although he,s got great potential Rooney will leave the toffes sooner or later so Everton should sell while he,s in the spotlight.

I totally disagree with what you are saying i think the club need to hold on to rooney to attract bigger players to the club also an investor, cos if an investor comes in and puts 50m into the club and we dont succed then maybe sell rooney.

Evertone will sell Rooney, they need the money and they just won't be able to turn down a big offer. Sadly, in football, money talks.

Rooney is the best thing to come out of England in a long time, I`d go as far as to say he has outshone michael Owen with his all round play popong up all over the pitch in euro 2004, i dont think everton want to sell him hes to good

You are right, he great potential and has outshone Owen. You are also right that Everton won't want to sell him, but they will. Money talks. :?

I was the one who started this page before Rooney really hit form.Although i would hate to see Everton lose a player of Rooney,s calibre i,m afraid that Ferguson and Abrahomvic have him in their sights.Let,s face reality like a previous respond money does talk he will leave Everton so all i,m suggesting is we cash in while the hype is still there.PS I.ve seen it at Celtic all before Di Canio,Van Hooydonk and Cadete all left us for smaller teams but for more money,i,m afraid although Rooney is a lifelong toffee he,ll leave for better money.

I agree Tam. :?
I,ve got to say i,m worried about the lack of transfer activity regarding Celtic and Everton. It seems Celtic won,t loosen the purse strings with (GOD)Martin O,neill begging to to take the club further! Also at Everton it seems we,ll lose Rooney and Gravesen, with Moyes no money to spend on replacements i feel sad as it looks as though both teams won,t realise their potential. At least Celtic have an excuse as they recieve poor TV rights, but Everton need a board of directors to match Moyes ambition and as a result both clubs could lose their managers (Although both O,neill and Moyes are Celtic daft ) I think they could be tempted to another club who,s ambition matches their own!
