All the media pundits are making it out that arsene wenger convinced sven to take theo walcott to the finals - what a load of rubbish. Lets get something very clear Arsene never wanted him to go to the world cup. He never gave him a single opportunity for the best part of half a season. He will play him next season so why not this season? Do not compare it to fabrigas because he was given well in excess of a dozen opportunities in the first year.


If walcott does deserve his place and becomes a superstar? what a traitor to english football arsene is?

I think you're a little misguided. I think AW has managed to get some invaluable experience for Walcoot, who should be phenomenal for Arsenal and england. If anyone has a problem with him being picked for england, they should take it up with sven and whoever hired the blundering idiot. It's not AW's fault if he can be lead easier than a puppy.

What is so invaluable about not playing him. If that was his intentions then surely letting him stay at southampton for the season would have been more beneficial for his development.

Defoe blows hot and cold, as for Fowler he has never been able to deliver for england even at his peak. Theo was a massive gamble but there was no real certainties. Johnson has played in the championship all season, Defoe has struggled to get a regular starting line up at spurs, Darren Bent has pace and no international experience. The 4th striker was always going to raise questions and be criticised. What has so far been seen of Walcott i think if only he had some experience at the highest level he could have been excellent member of the squad. He looked better against Hungary than the first game. I blame Wenger for denying him a chance to shine.
