Hello,

I would like to submit another controversial posting (for the first one see "the technical inferiority of the English Football game").

This one is a little more restrictive and focuses solely on Arsenal that today is at the top of the Premiership and likely to run away with it.

I argue that Arsenal are NOT World Class.

The evidence I would like to bring forward is nothing more than some of the elements that form its squad.

Lehmann:
I do not know where they found Lehmann but he is VERY VERY dodgy to say the least. I do not know of ANY other team in the champions League that has such a Weak weak goalie.

S. Campbell and M. Keown:
The classic English Defence. Big, Clumsy completely unskilled and have proven it "time and time again" (A. Hansen style). For the most recent example S. Campbell`s header (throught the legs!!) clearance for England.

Ljundberg:
Extremely skillfull footballer but is the face of K. Klein and therefore I have lost all faith in him and believe him to be a poncy- self loving moron.
However he is useful on the pitch

Kanu and Berkamp:
Both Ex Inter rejects.
Kanu came to Inter after the Olimpic games (won by Nigeria) only to be found out his heart was dodgy. Inter fixed him only to discover that once back to good form he was actually rubbish against solid defenders.
Berkamp:
Better known in Serie A as the Pallid Mozzarella on S. Siro.
Or for closest friends as "the Ectoplasm".
His first goal for inter was an out of the box blinder, after that he was clearly no good against decent defenders.
See also his performance in Italy Vs Holland in recent European footie...
The Mozzarella seems to be a demi god over here.. Mah....

T. Henry:
Ex Juve reject.
when put on the bench in Italy cause he was not performing consistently in Serie A (how strange another one) he decided to go abroad.
Had Juve had Henry against Milan in the final of the C. League maybe they would have won. With Arsenal I do not know if he will win.
However admittedly he argualbly is the best striker in Europe now. But the next C. League games will see if this stands.

Compare the above players against the skill and names in the following teams
JUVE
REAL
MILAN
BAYERN
INTER

I argue that Arsenal do not seriously compete with real teams that have a HISTORY of European accomplishments.

What a load of crap.

Comparing Arsenal with Inter is like comparing my ring piece with Britney Spears.

Clearly being Italian your heart is ruling your head and the word Belle*d springs to mind. Arsenal are one of the best teams in Europe with the best manager. They have world class players by the bucket load.

Get real copper.....

The ludicrous slanderous Comments by Numpty Boy are worthy of binge drinking alcoholic on Speed.

I shall not lower myself to such levels of disgusting behaviour but merely proove my point by presenting the past European achievements of INTERNAZIONALE Vs The Scum of Europe = Arsenal.

SOE (Scum Of Europe) ARSENAL
1 Cup Winners Cup 1994
0 Intercontinental Cups
0 Uefa Cups

INTERNAZIONALE
2 Cup Winners Cup 63/64 and 64/65
2 Intercontinenal cups 63/64 and 64/65
3 UEFA Cups 93/94 97/98 and 90/91

CIAO CIAO

NUMPTY!!!

I bet that Chelsea will see you out of the CL. Do you great dismay and sadness.

Further proof of the inferiority of the English game is that this is the first derby of English teams in the CL. This is quite common to Italian teams.

And if I get this prediction wrong, its only a statistical freak and you shall be properly dealt with a serious side like Real or Milan.

Yeah Chelsea beat us lst night with 5 English players in the team.

So whats your point????

As for this happening loads of times for Italian clubs....??? Are you a history teacher?? It seems it, as you seem to be talking about the past quite alot in this thread. Try something novel and talk about NOW.

Also I only see one Italian team in the QF and that is MILANO the only team in Milan and Italy.

That is unless you are talking about the RESERVE CUP that you were booted out of before the new year.

I will not argue with you here Numpty Boy, as it is true what you are saying; Arsenal are a world class team, but lack the morale and confidence to grab the icon of European football. The game against Chelsea, for example. You look at Arsenal's line-up, and you have players like Henry, Reyes, Viera, Campbell. All world-class individual players, each with a phenomenal amount of talent. Then, Chelsea's lineup. You have Mutu, Crespo, and more importantly, Lampard, and Terry. There are 2 English players in Arsenal's lineup that are constantly being placed on the bench. Patrick Viera, although influential, is holding Arsenal's captain armband, and, being French, will not fully get his intentions over to a multi-lingual squad until more years are spent at the club, which already is founded around different foreigners. Teamtalks must be a nightmare for them, though also Chelsea's teamtalk will have to be based around more than one language, I admit. Chelsea's team, however, in their English, have genuine motivators. Frank Lampard, 3 years and counting at Chelsea, is prospering in the care of their new arrivals, and ultimately could not be falsely classed as Chelsea's respective best player. Chelsea came out there, knew they wanted to win, knew they had something to prove, and through a genuine, relaxed style of football, miracles were worked.
Arsenal already had been dumped out of the FA, and their previous arrogance was beginning to wear away. Tired, undemanding, and ultimately jolted back from the Man U game, Arsenal went out on the field, played bits of their usual style of football, came out with a goal from superstar Jose Reyes as a consolation. Arsene and tam did this last year, underlining my point, a world-class, superb footballing team, but arrogance is costing them big.

NIL078 - It seems you had better buy a book about English football as you seem to know very little about it.

1.Viera has been at Arsenal for longer than Lampard has been at Chelsea you Numpty so your thread of arguement there is completly mis-informed and false.

2. Mutu did not even play on Tuesday.

3. Of the nations who play for the respective clubs -

Arsenal - France, Spain, England, Germany, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Sweden, Brazil - EIGHT also Ivory Coast/Cameroon and France in case you are ignorant both speak French so there are SIX spoken native languages

Chelsea - England, Italy, Argentina, Denmark, Holland, Ireland, France - SEVEN spoken native languages

Of these teams only TWO players were introduced to the Gunners side whereas there were FIVE to the Chelsea line up.

In conclusion -

Your argements are stupid/weak/mis informed and lacking football knowledge.

As for saying are Arsenal are arrogant - How? What have they done to seem arrogant - What have they soad or done.

Lets look at the facts -

Premiership Leaders
SF of the FA Cup
SF of the League Cup
QF of the Champions League
Unbeaten in 31 league games........NUFF SAID YOU NUMPTY.

Name one other side in Europe who have achieved this this far in the season NIL078....Go on.

As for Chelsea....Good English side I admit.....but what have they won in 30 years....Come on NIL078 answer this instead of trying to drag out a debate with a load of false assumptions and rubbish....

Also NIL078 another point -

You say that Arsenal are arrogant as they have been knoocked out of the CL...Oh I see I should see what you mean. This also makes.....

Juve,Milan,Inter,Lazio,Roma,Man U,Liverpool,Marseille,Olympiue Lyonnais,Barcelona, Real Madrid,Real Sociadad,Real Betis, Velencia,Celtic,Rangers,Ajax,PSV,Spartak Moscow,Dynamo Kiev,PAOS ec arrogant...

As by your thread of arguemant you assume any team that gets beaten is arrogant. You complete BELL END you have no idea. Clearly you must support a 'fasionable team' such as the Milans,Madrid or Juve or Man U. as you have no idea what it is to support a side who actually has a soul who cannot rely on money or reputation to grow.

Arsenal are a side from a big city who are trying to compete with the elite. They have a small stadium and little European history it is true. But we are getting there. We have come from being a real british club to a club now respected througn Europe.

No we are not the best yet and we may never be. But at least we are a football club rather than a manufactured imge such as Manu U or Real who rely on past reputations and money to attract players.

And just an after thought for you - when it comes to influence you critisise Viera's credibility...OK NIL078 you BELL....

I can't give up on this.

I have read the thread you have started here and now I see what a Numpty you are.

In the first post you say Arsenal are NOT a world class team. In your last post you say Arsenal are a world class superb footballing team........

Please,

I beg you, let's not go that low as to mention the "I" team here... vi prego!

I wouldn't go as far as say that this season was fixed, but there were some pretty scandalous favouritism by the referees towards Arsenal in some games.

Henry is in my opinion the only "real" world class, but the thing is that Wenger managed to get a good result of a group of fairly good players and two fuoriclassi.

Anywhooo.. the level of the football played this season sucked in almost all of the big leagues, Serie A, Espaņola and Premiership. Does anybody remember last season's Real, Milan, Juve, Man Utd?? All of these teams produced some sensational matches.

The only good thing is that at least in England Man Utd didn't win.

FORZA JUVE, COMUNQUE E SEMPRE!

As an ardent Livepool fan it hurts an awful lot to see my beloved team languising in fourth place, 30 points behind Arsenal. I have seen many a championship winning Liverpool side dazzle the top division of English Football with scintillating skills and immense defending. However, not one of Alex Ferguson's MUFC teams can rival the sheer brilliance and undisputed quality of this Arsenal side, led by a footballing brain, Msr. Wenger. Not once in the campaign were Arsenal beaten....... Enough said..... so instead of nit-picking, lets give this Arsenal team the round of applause they so deserve..... and i'm sure it wont be long before the mighty reds are challenging for the title once again! one day... ok... never....with houllier....

I have to disagree, Arsenal are doing exactly the thing that they needed to show the Technical inferiority of the english game by going unbeaten in the english premier league my friend and would give any italian side a run for there money. Arsen Venger has moulded them into a slick unit of technical attacking play with the traits of a well defended goal and are showing sighns of skill and flare.

SAYING ARSENAL ARE THE GREATEST ITS UTTER ****E; YES YOU WENT AN ENTIRE SEASON WITHOUT DEFEAT BUT YOU HAVN'T CONQUERED EUROPE.

SIDES LIKE LIVERPOOL IN THE 70s AND 80s
MAN UTD. IN THE 90s
INTER MILAN THE 60s - 90s
JUVE IN THE EARLY 90s
REAL MADRID.

TO COMPARE YOURSELF TO THESE SIDES IS ARROGANT N YOU WONT BE TAKEN SEROUISLY UNTILL YOU PROVE YOURSELF OUTSIDE OF THE ENGLISH PREMIERSHIP.
