Veteran striker Teddy Sheringham will move to another club if West Ham opt against extending his current contract - which ends in the summer.
The 39-year-old has been linked with a third switch to Tottenham before the January transfer window closes.
But his agent Barry Neville told BBC Sport: "It is quite simple. Teddy is contracted to West Ham and he wants to carry on playing after this season.
"His only concern is a new contract so the ball is in West Ham's court."
Being a Spurs fan, it would be wonderful to see him back at the lane in some capacity but as a player im not too sure. Feels like it would be 1 step forward 2 steps back from a spurs point of view. He will be 40 in april and says he wants to be judged on his performances and not his age. Blackburn are also reported to be interested in him.
