That is absolutely right, Liverpool have had a good season, Utd on the other hand have had a terrible season and two seasons like the ones we've had should lead to a clear-out if you ask me! Fergie just hasn't got the nous in Europe it seems while Rafael Benitez clearly has!

My point of view is this, the rules are the rules and for that reason Liverpool shouldn't qualify next season, only 4 english clubs can go in and kicking Everton out would be totally unfair because they are there based on their performances through 38 games!

However, on the other hand the rule is stupid! Defending champions should be able to defend the competition and I think they should maybe make Liverpool play a couple of qualifying games instead of letting the winners of a crap league have a go at qualifying!
