The views of a friend of mine, who is a Man Utd fan, but is very clued up on his football and not biased when coming to opinions. Makes interesting read.

Dreadful game.
But then again, two foreign managers and twenty one or twenty two foreign players on the park.
I have mentioned this many times before, but nobody is willing to offer any defence or debate.
Anyone from north london, supporting arsenal out there ? ..... what's happening to your team ? .... all the reserves are foreign too .... don't you care ?

I watched birm city reserves v man u res. last night on the box just before .... the quality of the football was superb ..... no rolling over in "agony", no dirty tackling, no trying to get yer man booked, let alone sent off.
Quite a refreshing change.
I've had it with premiership football ... perhaps won't see another game .... it just aint what it used to be.

And now we have the influx of poncey, nancy, transvestites (Robben)

..... who went right down in my estimation the day chelsea were winning by one goal, few minutes to go, he sees his number on the subs. board and decides to jog to the furthest possible part of the pitch, thus ensuring the most time wasted walking off .... very sad.

RIP the beautiful game.

You are absoloutely rite. I think divin shud result in a straight red card every time. Yellow cards do nothin. u r spot on but don't give up on the game yet. Robben is a disgrace for the incident and is wot turns people off football. I wud love to know what John Terry thinks of his antics. Now Terry is a real footballer

I couldnt agree more. I have been a season ticket holder at tottenham for many years but this season (despite tottenhams success) has left me disillusioned with football. Dont get me wrong, i will always love the beautiful game and will be a spurs fan til the day i die but with all the diving, handballing and just downright cheating, i have sold the remainder of my season ticket.
When i first started watching football in the mid eighties(even up to the mid nineties), things were so different. You could watch a great game of football with fierce tackling, with passion and with pride but over the last 5 years or so, everything i loved about our beautiful game has slowly died. It is now just a selfish business where players are out for themselves and dont give a toss about the club or thier fans. (i know there are exceptions !) and i am only really talking about the premiership as i have watched a lot of lower league football which still has the passion that i love.
