Default should we have beckham as captain

The F A will ask potential England managers if they will keep beckham as skipper or even keep him in the side, wondering why? well because the sponsors want to know.Is he still good enough?, I personally don't think so, is it to late to appoint a new captain prior to the world cup, probably unless hes injured.
Big question is, who's picking the manager seems like the sponsors have got to big a say, if they are picking the manager does this mean they pick the team also, Any potential new manager is obviously entering the lions den so to speak[no pun intended]

I think Beckham is a quality player. Not many in the world can pass or cross like he does and its a huge asset to the England team. I also think he should still be captain. He has become a very good leader on and off the pitch and the sort of guy who players know has been there and done it, massively experienced and the other players, especially the younger ones can look up to.

Lampard should not be even near consideration for the England Captaincy.

It must be Beckham, if not him then Terry or Gerrard.

Lampard isn't even Chelski captain, so he can't be a realistic option, not many how much you think he's cute Lamps!

Gerrard, Terry, Campbell, Neville, Rio or may I dare say Carragher?

are you saying beckham is being forced on any new manager, and that the sponsors will hold back if hes not still the captain, coz if you are, well thats old news. sponsors have always had abig say in everything, infact tghey all but pick the squad anyway them and the media.

its a sorry state to be in if that is this the case. Just look at some of the things that go on with nike and brazil. I dont know if it still happens but at one point, nike had a contract with Brazil that meant they had to play a set number of freindlies per year with a full strength team plus all the rumours that surrounded the 1998 world cup final about ronaldo playing.

According to your argument re Lampard, only Terry, Gerrard and Neville would be options. Personally, it has to be Terry or Gerrard, I'd prefer Gerrard.
