I hear in the Air force you get promoted to e-2 after 6 months and e-3 after 10. Please clarify. Does that mean i'll be promoted to e-3 10 months after my e-2 promotion or 10 months into the service altogether? Would i get e-3 in 10 months from my initial enlistment or 16 months at the average promotion rate?
