    Post Stevie G

Rumours are that Stevie G is going to leave Anfield (Paper Talk). I would like to have your views on whether he should stay or leave and if leave to which team?

I myself think that we would be lost if he leaves, who would we get to replace him?????

He'll Stay; He Said So Himself After The Champions League Final - "how Can I Leave After This". All This About The Contract Talks Breaking Down And Not Likely To Resume Is Either The Agent Pushing For A Mutli-million Pound Move Or Gerrard Is Getting Big Headed; He's Already On A 80 Thousand Pound Deal; He's Supposely Trying To Get 100 Thousand.

I'd Love Gerrard To Stay, But No-one Is Bigger Than Lfc. Liverpool Don't Tolerate Players With Big Ego's - Keegan Started Getting Ahead Of Himself, He Was Shipped Out To Hamberg*

Me and the other half were talking about it over the weekend and we were saying that if stsvie is going to be on 100,000 a week what would you give carragher? It wouldnt even cross his mind to want to leave the club, he is liverpool through and through. Stevie if he loves the club like he says should be debating on who is going to play in midfield with him next season, what players are coming into the club etc not whether he will get another 20,000 a week!!!!!

If it's a case of Stevie and agent holding the club to ransom with high wage demands, I say sell him and cash in while we can, or end up with another Owen situation, or worse.......Steve Mcmanaman ! You can buy some pretty decent players with 30 million, and that is what it is all about. To challenge for the prem you need a decent squad. It's o.k challenging for cups with half a dozen quality players and a few fillers around the edges. But to sustain a season long challenge on the league requires a minimum of 16-20 quality players. I say sell him and buy 3 or 4 good players, like Robbie Savage, Nicky Butt, and Lee Bowyer!!!!!!!!! Only kidding!

You Know No Matter What Gerrard Does, He'll Always Be Linked To Real M Or Cska Chelski. Just Wait Untill Gerrard Does Actually Sign The Contract; The Media Will Begin To Suggest There's A Get-out Claus. Or It's Already Sorted, Gerrard Will Move After His Contract Finishes. He Can't Fart Without The Media Putting Spin On It.

Liverpool have confirmed they have rejected a bid from Chelsea for captain Steven Gerrard.

The Stamford Bridge outfit tabled their offer for Gerrard last night but the Reds are desperate to persuade their inspirational midfielder to remain on Merseyside and had no hesitation in turning down the offer.

"I can confirm we have had a bid from Chelsea and that it will be rejected by us," said chief executive Rick Parry

    Default shame

Gerrard is in danger of being remembered more for his on/off transfer antics than his heroics for us on the pitch

I think hes always fancied a move to chelski, better shopping for the mrs, jet set life style on romans boats etc. To say we are mucking him about over his latest deal is well out of order. HE has been mucking us around for several months now. He could easily have put an end to all this speculation ages ago by pledging his future to the club especially as club captain

I for one am getting fed up with this saga. How can Raffa start planning for the new season when our captain has still not committed himself to us.
(Michael Owen did the same) What more can the club do ? Didn't like that way his decision was dependent on if we won the CL or not, lets face it this was won/lost on a penalty kick in the end. Getting to the final should have been enough. Better players than Gerrard have left us in the past, few have gone on to better things, and I have full confidence in Raffa to get us back up where we belong with or without him

the grass is not always greener on the other side, mind you 100k a week means you can hire some other person to cut it for you !!

I think stevie will always be rememberd for the way he inspired the guys in Istanbul that night. I don't know about you guys but the rumours will end on wednesday 13th July when either Stevie will play or be kept on the bench like Rafa did last year with Owen and then look what happend there!

He's gone, simple as that. he wants to go, and I'm sure Rafa the Gaffa will be quite happy to have the extra 30 or 40 million to spend on new players. Last season was not his greatest for Liverpool despite the European cup, and the constant distractions from the press is un-settling. Let him go !!!!!

I just hope that he goes abroad, and not Chelski. If Chelski get their grubby hands on him, they will dominate the Prem for years to come. if Parry has any buisness sense, he will insure Gerrard goes to Italy or Spain!!!!!!!!
